Risk factors for cancer and cancer progression in a life-course perspective

The reseach programme is focused on determinants of cancer occurrence and progression, particularly in urological malignances. Exposures include markers of inflammation, infection, and psychological distress from childhood and late adolescence to later in life. The studies are based on information from Swedish national registers including the Swedish Patient Regiser, the Conscription Register, and the Prescribed Drug Registers. Follow-up through the population registers essentially complete follow-up over several decades.
