Workplace Violence in the Ambulance Services Project; WASP
About this project
Project information
Workplace violence within the ambulance services can affect the provision of care of the patient, but may also lead to physical and psychological health problems for the ambulance personnel. The current project, WASP, aims to analyse the prevalence of workplace violence within the ambulance services and to identify factors in the emergency medical call which indicate an increased risk for workplace violence to occur. Early identification of risk factors may enable proactive actions which may in turn reduce the risk for such situations. The research team consists of researchers in emergency medicine and criminology at Orebro University.
