Nano design by haptic, aesthetic exercises

Haptics and a hands-on creating process are playing an increasingly prominent part within technical and educational research, since haptic experiences can enhance the feeling of presence, control and concentration. Using today's improved nano-technology we have managed to extend our haptic senses into this nano world. Through force-feedback technology, registering vibration, density, position etc. we can feel material characteristics, which is not far from the sculptor´s haptic ability. This project is alternating between: 1) explorative aesthetical laboratory experiments, which centres on haptics and kinaesthetics; and 2) creating projects involving artistic creation and design that meet nano technology/knowledge.
