Previous studies have shown that Internet-based CBT can prevent relapse in unipolar depression by treating residual symptoms. However, it is not known whether the method can also be used to treat residual symptoms for people with bipolar disorder. In collaboration with Frederick Holländare at the Psychiatric Research Centre (PFC) of Örebro University Hospital we carried out a pilot study of a psychosocial intervention via the Internet were tested by people with bipolar disorder type II starting 2013. The goal was to test the feasibility of the treatment and to study its preliminary efficacy.
