Project information
The purpose of the project is to analyze the hospitality and tourism labour market by identifying patterns of success factors behind employees career steps, and to identify factors that influence mobility and labour turnover from the perspective of the individual as well and the firm/workplace.
The project is based on two main sources of data; comprehensive microlevel data on individuals over time, and interviews with employees. The combination of quantitative and qualitative data and methods is intended to generate knowledge about both general patterns and causal mechanisms, as well as deeper understandings of decisions and motives behind different career moves.
