A method to measure a sensor network's impact on perceived safety and security

The aim with this project is to develop a method to measure perceived safety and security. The method is applied to evaluate the perceieved safety and security among elderly people who have a sensor network installed in their homes. The evaluation method involves both qualitative and quantitative measures but also the relation in between them is studied. In other words, we study how and if the answers that are provided  in questionnaires are mirrored in objective measures of the elderly people's behaviours. Specific emphasis is put on how these parameters changes over time. The main aim of this study is to develop a method which can be applied to evaluate also the impact of other technologies on safety and security.
