The medieval mystery play as an artistic meeting place between popular and spiritual culture

In the research project The Medieval Mystery Play as an artistic meeting place between popular and learned culture stands the Medieval Mystery Play is in focus. This will be analyzed both in term of musical expression, and as a source for historical research between popular and learned culture. This is discussed in relation to the church´s musical thinking during the Middle Ages - and today. One of the goals of this project is to create a newly composed work with inspiration taken from the generated source material. The composition will also be supported by a text describing the composition process.
