Evaluation of the national trial with supervision representatives for children in foster care
About this project
Project information
In 2009 the Swedish government commissioned the National Board of Health and Welfare the assignment to conduct a three-year national trial with so-called supervision representatives for children and young people in foster care. The reason for this was that the County Administrative Boards had identified major shortcomings in the municipal care of the children. In the spring of 2010, Örebro University, were commissioned by the National Board of Health and Welfare to evaluate the trial. The purpose of this evaluation is to study whether the children are taken care of in a satisfying way and that the conditions for the placement are followed up by the municipalities. Furthermore, the evaluation aims to study whether access to a supervision representative means a positive difference for the child from his/her perspective.
