The research group in clinical genomics focuses on methods to characterize and utilize information from various genomes: human, bacterial, or viral. This is primarily done using sequencing-based methods. The group aims to improve genetic and metagenetic methods and their application in medicine, which ultimately can lead to improved health and well-being through earlier diagnosis and better treatment strategies. The research group is part of the national research infrastructure at Örebro University, Clinical Genomics, SciLifeLab, and is involved in the Genomic Medicine Sweden (GMS) project.
