Plant Signaling and Physiology
About this group
Group information
The Plant Signaling and Physiology group studies how plants perceive and respond to environmental stimuli, focusing on the molecular mechanisms driving physiological and acclimatory responses to UV and visible radiation. We also investigate how light signals from different regions of the spectrum influence stress acclimation. Our goal is to apply these findings to plant production practices that optimize light management and enhance plant resilience, leading to improved crop production, quality, and sustainability. This research could help develop more efficient agricultural methods, resulting in higher yields, better nutrition, and greater resistance to environmental stressors, benefiting both growers and consumers.
