Education, opportunities, career
In the profile Nutrition-Gut-Brain Interactions, your focus of studies will be the research and understanding of the gut-brain connections from molecular to the human body level both in health and in disease. This is an area of continuous expansion both at the academic and business levels and the final aim is to prepare you for a future scientific career in one of these sectors.
This profile has direct connection with the research environment Nutrition-Gut-Brain Interactions Research Centre (NGBI) at the School of Medical Sciences, Örebro University. The teachers within the profile are active researchers associated to the centre. They bring along their wide national and international experience to their different teaching activities on the profile.
Besides enrolling in the 2-year Master programme in Experimental Medicine, there is also the possibility to join NGBI for a shorter period e.g. for an internship or a project work such as a bachelor or master thesis. You will join an international team, work in a multidisciplinary research environment and will gain insights into our daily work life.
Internships and thesis projects can, for instance, be financially supported by the Erasmus + Traineeship programme (Europe) or the DAAD (Germany).
