CPTI - The Child Problematic Traits Inventory
Welcome to The Child Problematic Traits Inventory (CPTI) resource site!
The Child Problematic Traits Inventory (CPTI) is a 28 item questionnaire (developed by Prof. Henrik Andershed) aimed to assess psychopathic personality traits in children age 3 to 12 years. The original article presenting and testing the CPTI for the first time was published in Journal of Psychopathology and Behavioral Assessment in 2014 (Colins, Andershed et al., 2014 - see reference list below).
The CPTI was originally developed as a preschool/kindergarden teacher rated instrument but it is up to empirical studies to also test how well it works when used as a parent-rated instrument.
The CPTI is a research instrument with the purpose to facilitate research on the role of psychopathic traits in development.

The CPTI network
The CPTI network is for researchers interested in psychopathic personality in children and who are planning or who have collected CPTI data. The idea is that all partners in the CPTI network collect CPTI data on children (somewhere in the range 3-12 years) and with other variables of interest to the specific researcher.
In the CPTI network, the researcher responsible for the data collection owns there own collected data. The CPTI network should merely be seen as a structure for collaboration concerning the collected data, e.g., to collaborate on analyses, publications, etc. We have a long-term plan to build a strong network which could attract larger research funds (e.g. EU funds). If you are interested in joining the CPTI network, please contact the coordinator Henrik Andershed.
The below "concept list" is a recommendation of concepts to measure alongside the CPTI for the CPTI network members. It can be helpful in the planning of data collections.
The CPTI network thus far consists of
CPTI network steering group
The function of the steering group is to be responsible for the planning and actions of the CPTI network. Currently, the steering group consists of Henrik Andershed, Olivier F. Colins, and Kostas Fanti.
