First biannual NanoSafety2 meeting
A collaborative milestone in advancing health and safety in additive manufacturing.
On June 14, NanoSafety2 academic and business partners convened for their first biannual meeting at the Örebro University’s USÖ campus. This gathering marked an important milestone, providing an opportunity to review the project's progress over the initial six months.
The meeting featured updates from each sub-project, including Exposure, Mechanism of Action, Health, and Knowledge Transfer, including:
- Defining sampling strategies and employing new instruments for particle sampling in additive manufacturing occupational settings.
- Establishing models and endpoints for in vitro toxicity assays.
- Planning fall sampling activities with additive manufacturing business partners.
- Reviewing dissemination efforts, highlighted by several NanoSafety2 publications, upcoming conferences, and public engagement activities.
