PhD Course
EURODIET offers a PhD course entitled: ‘Impacts of diet on overweight-related metabolic diseases’, 5 ECTS.
The course objectives are:
I. Thorough knowledge on concepts and methodological considerations when designing a dietary intervention study
II. Thorough knowledge on evidence-based links between dietary behaviours and metabolic and inflammatory risk outcomes in aging populations
III. Ability to critically examine, evaluate and present research results from studies on dietary patterns in metabolic disease prevention and health promotion.
IV. Knowledge on cellular and molecular mechanisms by which dietary behaviours may prevent metabolic disease development and promote health
V. Knowledge on major determinants for dietary behaviours, including psychological and socio-demographic aspects, as well as theoretical approaches for health behaviour change.
VI. Ability to assess dietary behaviours using different measurement techniques
