Project participants

The project involves five researchers, each responsible for the analysis of the supreme court(s) of a given Nordic country, plus a statistician, who carries out the statistical analysis.

Åsa ElmerotÅsa Elmerot, Senior Lecturer, Örebro University, PhD in Constitutional Law (Uppsala University), Sweden. She examines the reasoning practice of the two Swedish supreme courts: Högsta domstolen and Högsta förvaltningsdomstolen.

Morten NadimMorten Nadim, PhD (University of Bergen), Senior Advisor at The Parliamentary Ombud for Scrutiny of the Public Administration and associate at the University of Oslo, Norway. He focuses on the Norwegian Høgsterett.

Haukur Logi KarlssonHaukur Logi Karlsson, Research Specialist, University of Iceland, PhD (European University Institute). He studies the Icelandic Hæstiréttur.

Maija DahlbergMaija Dahlberg, Associate Professor in Public Law , University of Eastern Finland, PhD (University of Eastern Finland), Finland. She studies the reasoning practice of the two Finnish supreme courts: Korkein oikeus and Korkein hallinto-oikeus.

Helle KrunkeHelle Krunke, Professor of Law, PhD, University of Copenhagen, Centre for European and Comparative Legal Studies, Denmark. She analyses the leading constitutional cases of the Danish Højesteret.

Nicklas PetterssonNicklas Pettersson, Senior Lecturer, Örebro University, PhD (Stockholm University), Sweden. He is the project’s statistician.

Adrienne StoneAdrienne Stone, PhD, Professor of Law, Director of the Centre for Comparative Constitutional Studies (Melbourne Law School, Australia), President of the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL-AICD). She was also the author of the Australian chapter in the CONREASON Project, this project’s parent project.

Johanna FröhlichJohanna Fröhlich, LL.M., PhD, Research Assistant Professor (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile). She is the principal investigator of the CORE Latam Project, a Latin American follow-up of the CONREASON project.

Ragnhildur Helgadóttir, LL.M., PhD, Professor of Law (University of Reykjavik, Iceland). She is the author of many books and articles in the field of Nordic constitutional law.

Jakab AndrásAndrás Jakab, LL.M., PhD, Professor of Law (University of Salzburg, Austria). He was the principal investigator of the CONREASON Project, this project’s parent project.

Joakim NergeliusJoakim Nergelius, PhD, Professor of Law (Örebro University, Sweden). He is the author of many books and articles in the field of comparative constitutional law.

Jørn Oyrehagen SundeJørn Øyrehagen Sunde, PhD, Professor of Law (University of Oslo, Norway). He is the author of many books and articles in the field of comparative legal cultures and legal history, among which a book on the history of the Norwegian Supreme Court.
