Virus and immunity
The tick- and mosquito-borne flaviviruses are serious factors of global morbidity and mortality, and include the Tick-borne encephalitis virus, West-Nile virus and Dengue virus. iRiSC strive to reveal viral pathophysiological and molecular mechanisms utilized by the virus to inhibit host immunity. By characterizing virus-host associations we aim to identify putative targets for the design of novel therapeutics.
