Inflammation is an underlying cause of many of our most common diseases. Research at iRiSC focuses on understanding the mechanisms behind development of cardiovascular disease, type-2 diabetes, various types of skin diseases, and auto-inflammatory and autoimmune diseases caused by dys-regulated inflammation. We also study the role of the innate immune system on the progression of cystic fibrosis.
