Precision Nutrition Innovation Arena (PNI)
The Precision Nutrition Innovation Arena (PNI) is an innovation support centre embedded in the national research centre Plant-based Proteins for Health and Wellbeing, coordinated by Örebro University and comprising academic and private partners.
The PNI’s vision is that the consumer is able to choose the most healthy food on basis of the optimal match with its own individual digestive system. The goals and strategies of PNI are intertwined with those of PAN Sweden, and hence share a common interest in applying a precision nutrition perspective to clarify the relationship between processing, structure, bioavailability, digestion and fermentation of proteins, and health effects in terms of gut, metabolic and mental health - and to transform new knowledge into future innovations.
