The Örebro University School of Business retains its AACSB international accreditation.

"The AACSB is an international recognition of quality for the entire organization, awarded to less than five per cent of the 16,000 business schools worldwide," says Anna Kremel, deputy head of school.

Since 2019, the Örebro University School of Business has maintained accreditation by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the world's largest international accreditation body for business education. The accreditation is reassessed every five years by external assessors consisting of experienced heads of school for business schools worldwide.

Anna Kremel and her colleagues have conducted extensive systematic development work based on international standards. These efforts aim to ensure that the school meets high standards and assesses all of its activities, from its teaching and study environment to its research and collaboration.

“This accreditation is a global recognition of the work done by all of us here – staff, students and partners,” says Anna Kremel.

The AACSB review panel had an extensive list to review as a basis for its decision to extend Örebro University School of Business's accreditation. Among these are the following:

  • Örebro's attractive campus setting and the school's modern facilities are well-equipped for teaching, group work, and student collaboration.
  • The school has a high potential to be a significant regional and national growth engine. Several key players in the business community collaborate with the school, providing support for professorships, doctoral scholarships and access to data.
  • The school’s Advisory Board is actively involved in the school activities and is a key resource for further development.
  • The school maintains increased flexibility in its educational programmes and offers undergraduate students a wide range of elective courses from other departments.
  • The school has launched new lifelong learning courses, including in areas such as programming in Python with AI and cybersecurity, clearly demonstrating the school's commitment to societal relevance.
