AI Days have begun: “We hope visitors feel they can be part of this development”
Amy Loutfi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for AI at Örebro University, opened AI-days in Visual Lab.
AI Days at Örebro University is now open. Amy Loutfi, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for artificial intelligence, held an address at the opening and premiere of The Evolution of the Robots interim exhibition.
“It’s incredibly important that we have the opportunity to discuss AI and how it will impact many different areas. It’s also essential that these discussions are based on facts and the latest research,” says Amy Loutfi.
AI Days at Örebro University aims to provide staff, students, and the public with knowledge, experience, and skills. Over four days, visitors will get the opportunity to listen to seminars, explore demonstration environments and robot exhibitions, and try out artificial intelligence for themselves.

“Nowadays, it feels like AI is really everywhere, even with two Nobel Prizes awarded in artificial intelligence last week. We know that AI is a technology affecting many areas and sectors. And we believe it will become even more prominent going forward,” says Amy Loutfi, continuing:
“At Örebro University, we have cutting-edge research and expertise in AI, which is part of our vision to contribute to knowledge transfer for the greater society.”
After visiting the Visual Lab, the opening continued with the premiere of the exhibition The Evolution of the Robots in Örebro University’s Entréhuset.
AI Days continued in the evening with a screening of Ex Machina in Visual Lab. Find the complete programme at oru.se/ai-days.
Over four days, AI-Days is open to the public, university staff, and students. The lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions during AI Days are open to all – no registration is needed. Those planning to visit the AI Corner are encouraged to bring their own laptop.
“I hope there will be many discussions and opportunities to share knowledge. Even with everything happening in AI, I hope visitors will leave feeling that it’s possible to be part of this development,” says Amy Loutfi.
