About Tove Axelsson Landberg

Doctoral student within health science' at Örebro University. The doctoral project is about pain and psychological distress among youth in Sweden. A physiotherapy led intervention, ReActivate, has been developed and is tested on adolescents in lower and upper secondary schools. ReActivate is consist of graded exposure for physical activity and/or exercise. The treatment is primarily targeted towards pain related fear and avoidance behavior. 

The doctoral thesis will also include research regarding mechanisms common for both pain and psychological distress. 

Tove also work as a physiotherapist in primary health care in Region Örebro län, Sweden. The clinical work include meeting with children and adolescents with pain and psychological distress on a regular basis, which has contributed to the interest for the research field.
