About Tobias

Tobias holds a master’s degree (M. Sc.) in “Hearing Technology and Audiology” from the Carl von Ossietzky University and the corresponding bachelor’s degree (B. Eng.) from the Jade University of Applied Sciences, both located in Oldenburg (Oldb), Germany.
Prior to his studies in Oldenburg, Tobias took an apprenticeship to become a trained hearing aid professional (cf. Swedish Audionom) where he worked with patients on a regular basis.

Research

Tobias focus is on the field of psychoacoustics and audiology. In his master thesis, he investigated binaural speech recognition and how to further develope a binaural prediction model by using analytical computer-based simulations.

Teaching

Tobias teaches in the audiology programme on an undergraduate level. He teaches in practical exercises of audiological measurements as well as hearing aid programming. But he is also involved in psychoacoustic and acoustic lab sessions.
