About Tim Stubbings
Tim is a coordinator within the University’s Communications and Collaboration team. His main focus is the relationship the University has, or could have, with its ex-graduates (alumni), commercial partners and other supporters. This includes helping the delivery and development of new engagement programmes, as well as helping improve the processes and systems supporting relationship development.
Additional information
Whilst at Örebro, Tim has also provided fundraising and alumni relations consultancy for UK universities, private schools and charities. Clients have included Dundee University, University of the Creative Arts, University of Liverpool, Lord Wandsworth College, University of York, the James Hutton Institute, Oakham School, Nottingham Trent University, Epsom College and the Eden Project.
Prior to joining Örebro University Tim worked for the University of Exeter as Assistant Director - Head of Marketing & Support within their fundraising and alumni relations office. His team helped the University (one of the UK’s top 10), stay in touch with alumni and other supporters – running events, delivering print and digital communications, mass-giving activities through telethons and direct mail, volunteering programmes, database development and the financial administration of gifts. His team also supported major- and principal-gift level fundraising at Exeter.
Before this Tim was a marketeer and branding specialist focusing on economic development, inward investment and country/region ‘place branding’ within British government agencies and private business.
Tim is an alumnus of Bournemouth University, where he received a BA (Hons) in Media Production, and is also an alumn of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Tim is also a volunteer for CASE, the professional organisation for alumni relations and fundraising professionals, and has sat on their European Education Programmes Steering Committee.
