About Suraj Neelakantan
I am a Ph.D student at the Machine Perception and Interaction Lab at AASS Research Center, Department of Science and Technology, Örebro University, Sweden.
I work in computer vision and deep learning, focusing on developing models for image enhancement, segmentation, and classification for various applications like geoscience and remote sensing. My research explores how deep neural networks, including CNNs and attention-based models, can improve feature extraction, image reconstruction, and adaptability across different datasets. Beyond computer vision, I am interested in broader deep learning trends, including advancements in model architectures, optimization techniques, and self-supervised learning.
