About Satyam Paul
Satyam Paul is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engineering at Örebro University. He has a research background in Vibration Control, Automatic Fault Detection in Mechanical Systems, and Control Theory. Before joining Malardalen University, he was a Senior Research Fellow in Engineering Control Systems at the Gas Turbine and Transmissions Research Centre(G2TRC), University of Nottingham, UK (2022-2023). He also worked as a Control Engineering Tutor at the University of Cambridge Online, delivering online courses and mentoring students. From March 2020 to December 2021, he was an Assistant Professor (Mechatronics) in the Department of Engineering Design and Mathematics at the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. From November 2018 to February 2020, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Örebro University, Sweden and from February 2018 to October 2018, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), Monterrey, Mexico. He earned his PhD from the Department of Automatic Control, Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV-IPN), Mexico City, Mexico. He has a Master's degree in the field of Mechatronics from VIT University, India, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, India. He also achieved full fellowship status "FHEA, UK" in recognition of achievement against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.
