About Rongrong Wu
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Science within the toxicological areas of inflammation, DNA damage and repair in chemical related exposure. Thesis SILICA PARTICLE-INDUCED NLRP3 INFLAMMASOME ACTIVATION AND DNA DAMAGE IN RESPIRATORY EPITHELIUM was defended in 2021 at School of Environmental Medicine (IMM), Kaorlinska Institutet.
Rongrong is highly experienced in inflammation and infectious diseases, and metabolic models in vitro and in vivo and skilled in medical research and projects management.
Expertises
Urinary tract infection in vitro and in vivo models, periodontitis in vitro and in vivo models, metabolic activity analysis, DNA damage and repair analysis.
Research projects
Hormonal effects and metabolism changes in urinary tract infection and how host immune responses and pathogen interaction involves in.
TMAO and pathogen metabolic choices in human diseases, such as cancers, infectious diseases, and air/water exposure related diseases.
How periodontitis pathogens contribute to inflammatory responses, and DNA damage and repair in oral models.
