About Pinar Bilir-Öztürk
Pinar Bilir-Özturk is a doctoral student in psychology, and is affiliated with the Center for Lifespan Developmental Research (LEADER) at Örebro University. She received her master’s degree from applied developmental psychology program at Özyegin University in 2017. Pinar worked as a school psychologist in an alternative education oriented primary school for six years. She supports healthy sexual development of preadolescents by giving seminars/webinars to them and their parents in Turkey.
Research
Pinar Bilir-Özturk’s research focuses on understanding the individual and social level factors of adolescents’ defending behaviors in ethnic victimization. Her overarching goal is to contribute to anti-bullying ethos in ethnically diverse schools. She is involved in the IDEA Project.
