About Pia Ridderby

Pia Ridderby works as Manager in the department for Communication and Collarboration.

The knowledge created of Örebro University should be disseminated and benefit the society. Similarly, the needs and interests of society should impact the university’s activities and development. That is why collaborating with our surrounding community is one of our most important responsibilities. In order to succeed, our unit´s mission is to provide collaborative support to our faculties and institutions to strengthen their external relations. Our focus is also our students' attractiveness for a future labor market, support and communication to our alumni as well as coordination of skills development for professionals.

The unit includes Student collaboration, which offers the opportunity for all our students to face the future working life during their studies, and Alumni & Friends, where we communicate and keep in touch with our former students after their studies.

Within the unit, we also coordinate the area of Lifelong Learning and Contract Education. An example are Smarter- Competence development within Artificial Intelligence (AI) for professionals. 

The unit also accommodates support linked to donations.
 
Pia Ridderby has studied PR Management and Marketing at Berghs School of Communication as well as is trained in leading innovation processes. She has previously studied pedagogy at the advanced level at Örebro University after receiving her teaching degree at the Teacher Training College in Stockholm and Stockholm University. She has worked with educational matters since 2006.
