Miles Davies

Miles Davies is the project coordinator for the EU-financed COFUND doctoral programme Newbreed.

Prior to that, he worked on the university's application for HRS4R and was previously the head of the Department for External Financing at Örebro University (Grants Office). 

Miles Davies undertook his undergraduate studies in biological sciences at Southampton University and received a PhD (1979) in Cell Biology from the University of Glasgow. After a three-year postdoc in Glasgow, he changed direction to sales and marketing of laboratory products. He moved to Sweden in 1984 and worked in the business world, first as an employee and then from 1988 in several own companies in medical technology and information. In 2002 he switched track again, this time to research financing at Karolinska Institutet, where he was the head of KI’s Grants Office. He has worked at Örebro University since December 2012.
