About Magnus Viking
Magnus is a Phd student and specialized nurse in anesthesia and ambulance care. He works as an ambulance nurse in Örebro as well as a Phd student researcher.
The name of the project is Workplace violence in the emergency medical services; WASP
Workplace violence within the ambulance services is increasing. It can affect the provision of care for the patient, but may also lead to physical and psychological health problems for the ambulance personnel. Even though workplace violence has gained interest from both media and politics, the scientific knowledge about prevalence and consequences of workplace violence in the emergency medical services is weak.
The current project, WASP, aims to analyze the prevalence and the consequences of workplace violence within the ambulance services and to create strategies to identify risk factors for workplace violence in the emergency medical call. Early identification of risk factors enable proactive actions which in turn could reduce the risk for workplace violence.
