About Lina Puhakka

Lina Puhakka is an academic liaison librarian at Örebro University Library’s Division of Learning and Subject Support and is located at the Main Library, Campus Örebro.

Teaching and tutoring: Students

As academic liaison librarian, Lina promotes students’ information competence and helps them to find and evaluate scholarly sources through teaching and tutoring sessions.

Lina is the contact person for the following subjects:

• nursing sciences
• biomedicine
• diagnostic radiology

Lina also guides students in using Zotero and EndNote reference management software.

Teaching and tutoring: PhD students and researchers

Lina teaches information retrieval to PhD students and researchers and offers support and guidance in doing systematic literature reviews and using EndNote reference management software. She is the contact person for the subjects listed above.

Lina is one of the librarians teaching the Information retrieval course.

Other duties

As part of the University Library’s User Experience (UX) group, Lina is involved in improving library user’s experiences through UX studies.

She works at the Main Library’s help desk and answers questions via the University Library’s chat.

Lina is also involved in further developing the University Library’s learning environments and has been part of university-wide learning environment projects, for example in developing lecture hall P2 into an active learning classroom (ALC).
