About Lena Strålman

Lena Johansson is an occupational therapist with experience mainly from stroke rehabilitation and municipal care. Lena has a special interest in reablement, person-centered care, stroke rehabilitation and activity-based strategies in cognitive diseases.

Lena Johansson's current employment is part-time doctoral student and part time occupational therapist in municipal residential care. She was admitted for PhD studies in February 2022.

Research

Reablement in residential care

Older adults in residential care risks a sedentary lifestyle.  Lena's thesis project aims to explore if reablement can be a method to reduce the risks and promote occupational performance, participation, and well-being in older persons in residential care.

Feasibility study is planned for March 2023.
