About Layan Amouri
Layan Amouri holds a Master's degree in Social Work. Since 2022, Layan has been actively engaged in research and currently works as a research assistant for the "PIA Project" within the Psychology Department, focusing on supporting the integration and adjustment processes of newly arrived youth and their parents. Concurrently, she is involved in the Social Work Department, assisting in research on critical perspectives on integration and migration in society. She also supports the evaluation of social work education with the research group Globalization, Migration, and Social Cohesion (GLOMISCO). Additionally, she has provided consultancy for the Vulnerability Team at the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) on youth prevention strategies. Layan has previously worked as a social secretary in social services, conducting assessments for economic assistance within income support, where she helped individuals achieve self-sufficiency.
