About Gabriele Ferrari
Gabriele Ferrari is a Doctor in Medicine and Surgery. He studied at the University of Pisa - Italy and completed the residency program in Cardiac Surgery as well in Pisa.
He moved to Sweden during the last year of his residency, working 1 year in Uppsala. Since the July of 2015 he his working as CardioThoracic Surgeon (completing the Swedish residency program) in Örebro.
In the 2018 he is started his doctoral studies. His research focuses on the long-term results of no-touch tecnique, the innovative technique to harvest a saphenous vein with significantly better outcoumes compared the tradional one, that a cardiac surgeron in Örebro (Domingos Souza) has developed more than 20 years ago. The specific focus of his research concerns the outcomes that this technique offers compered the tradinional one, in the case that the patient do need a reintervention with a stenting of the venous graft.
