About Erik Berglund
Erik Berglund is a doctoral candidate in law with a specialization in criminal law. His research focuses on sexual violations in national criminal law from both a legal and gender perspective.
He holds a law degree from Uppsala University, where he has also worked as a research assistant in the MEIOR project. Additionally, he has been a project researcher in the FORCE project at the University of Turin.
Teaching
At Örebro University, he teaches criminal law at both undergraduate and advanced levels in the law program, as well as in the legal science and criminology programs. He also supervises theses and C-level essays in criminal law.
Other Assignments (Completed and Ongoing)
- Doctoral student representative in the Faculty Board for Humanities and Social Sciences (2023–2024).
- Co-authored Örebro University’s consultation response to SOU 2024:55 A Review of Chapter 23 of the Swedish Penal Code, together with Lecturer Minna Koskela.
- Participated monthly in Länsradion during 2024, discussing criminal law issues.
