About Elias Olsson

Elias Olsson is an academic liaison librarian at the medical library at Campus USÖ. The medical library is part of the University Library.

Teaching and tutoring
As academic liaison librarian for the medical sciences, Elias promotes students’ information competence and helps them to find and evaluate scholarly sources through teaching and tutoring sessions. He also guides students in using Zotero and EndNote reference management software.

Elias also teaches information retrieval and EndNote reference management software to PhD students and researchers.

Database searches for researchers
Elias performs database searches for researchers. The search strategies are developed in close dialog with the researcher. The extent of these searches varies from quick narrow searches to comprehensive searches for systematic reviews.

Support for Region Örebro County
The medical library is tasked with delivering library services to the staff at Region Örebro County. In this context, Elias work with database searching, teaching and tutoring. He is also part of the team that ensure access to scholarly journals and databases for the healthcare personnel via Medicinska e-biblioteket.
