About Annika Imhagen
Doctoral student (50 %) and primary health care nurse at Brickebackens vårdcentral (50 %). In my research project I will study different treatments for obesity and participants experiences before and after interventions.
In the primary care in Region Örebro län a group treatment, “Step by step”, has been in use since 2010. It comprises of six group sessions over 6-8 moths with different themes such as diet, physical exercise and stress. Between the group sessions there are home assignments, for example writing a diet or exercise diary. The treatment has been further developed to an internet-based treatment in 12 modules over 6 months. From January 2022, participants are recruited in a study comparing enhanced support with usual care.

- Observational study of Step by step that was cancelled due to the Corona-pandemic.
