About Aili Tang
My research focuses on trying to understand firm dynamics and competition under the process of deregulation and liberalisation, with a special focus on the energy market. Some of my resent research questions are: Will large firms become more dominant under the present institutional setting? Are there any differences in firm growth, depending on which status are firms in following the process of market selection? How are firms affected by the introduction of price comparison sites?
Additionally, my research also includes the following areas:
- Labour market: The impact of hiring top workers on firm performance; International trade and labour market integration for immigrants.
- Government support in international trade: Effect of export credit guarantees on firm performance.
