It will present a review of current evidence-based management strategies for head trauma. The event will also feature an inaugural lecture by Professor David Menon from the University of Cambridge, who will be conferred the title of "Honoris Causa Doctor" by Örebro University.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is the leading cause of death and disability among the active population, and even mild TBI can result in significant reductions in quality of life. The rising incidence of TBI among the elderly also poses a substantial challenge to healthcare systems. Despite recent large-scale studies, such as the CENTER-TBI and TRACK-TBI trials, which have enhanced our understanding of the epidemiology, clinical pathways, and certain underlying mechanisms of TBI, there remains a critical gap in the availability of comprehensive, precision medicine-based translational treatment strategies in routine clinical practice.
