Senior lecturers for external collaboration – a link between the university and industry
At Örebro University, there are two senior lecturers for external collaboration within engineering. This is a special initiative focusing on collaboration with industry, primarily within manufacturing, logistics and IT.
Senior lecturers for external collaboration divide their time between collaboration, research and teaching. They are involved half of the time in collaboration with the surrounding society, while a third is spent on self-initiated research, which may also involve collaboration with industry.
Senior lecturers for external collaboration also have specific funds available in order to quickly get started with various forms of collaboration.
The plan is that these senior lecturers for external collaboration will serve as a link between the university and industry.
