Örebro University is an international workplace.
We who work and study in Örebro come from different parts of the world. We collaborate with students, researchers, and institutions in many countries. Still, wars and conflicts around the world may sometimes affect us in different ways.
On this page, we’ve gathered sources on how to find information and where to turn in times of crisis, war, or conflict.

Emergency information from Swedish authorities

At krisinformation.se/en Swedish authorities provide up-to-date information during crises or critical events in society. The authority or actor responsible has verified all the information on their website.

For example, you can learn of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs advisories against travel to a particular country or if the security situation requires special vigilance for those in the country. The website also provides many valuable tips and advice on handling a crisis. Information is available in both Swedish and English.

Exchange students

Support efforts for researchers from Ukraine

Several Swedish universities and research funders offer various forms of support to Ukrainian researchers and doctoral students. Here, you will find information about current support measures.

If you have questions about employing a Ukrainian colleague, contact hr@oru.se for more information. Sweden’s labour laws and agreements apply, so there are no specific exceptions when hiring Ukrainian citizens.
