Administrative assistant (amanuens) to the research group Nutrition-Gut-Brain

We are looking for an administrative assistant for a fixed-term position at the School of Medical Sciences.
Background
The research group Nutrition-Gut-Brain axis prioritises human research to understand interactions between diet, microbiota, gut health, and brain health. The research group collaborates across disciplinary boundaries and has a wide network within academia as well as industrial partners.
Duties and responsibilities
We are looking for an administrative assistant who, during the spring semester 2025, will participate in research activities with the task of administratively supporting ongoing research studies. Further tasks such as research communication, laboratory work or data analysis may possibly be added. Alongside these tasks, the administrative assistant is expected to conduct their own full-time studies.
Qualifications
In order to be eligible for employment as an administrative assistant, you need to be admitted to a first- or second-cycle course or study programme (bachelor’s or master’s level) and study at Örebro University.
We are looking for you who, during your studies, have shown an interest in research issues. We place emphasis on your personal qualities such as being able to work independently, having good collaboration skills, being service-oriented, and able to prioritise tasks. As communication about research questions often takes place in English, we expect you to feel comfortable with this.
Information
This is a part-time position of 12.5 % for 6 months. At Örebro University, salary is determined in accordance with our local collective agreement.
