About groups
Ultra currently does not have collaboration areas (group rooms with a set of tools) for the groups, but Groups are mainly used for administrative purposes when assigning group assignments and for communication to groups.
The tools that group members can use for collaboration are discussions.
There is currently only support for self-enrolment in groups in connection with the creation of group assignments or group discussions.
From each group, teachers can send group messages, which participants can respond to.
You always create a group set, whether you have a set with multiple groups or a single group. In a group set, a participant can only be a member of one of the set groups.
NOTE! When creating groups with random enrolment or where users are added manually, students can only see which group they belong to, but not which others are included in the group. Create a discussion forum and assign it to the groups you have created. The students then see who their group mates are and can communicate with them in the forum.
