Application and decision process
Those seeking appointment as docent must apply for it. An academic appointment committee processes the docent application prior to a decision by the faculty board. This means that the committee first decides if an application fulfils the requirements, then forwards it for an external expert assessment. When the external expert’s report has been received, the committee gives their recommendation to the faculty board to either appoint the applicant as a docent or to reject the application.
